Sewing Hobbie

New Look 6045 Dress out for the evening or black boots and cardi dress for the day.
Merry Christmas, I think I'm ready in my new red dress, this is from New Look Pattern 6567 I think thats about dress 4 now
My dress I made courtesy of Miss Libby Rose in Greenwich, new work dress sorted.
Really easy an afternoon's work New Look 6567 the same as the green and brown one below.
McCalls Pattern 6324, this pattern is the same as the black and white dress and yet again was so easy to make I really do recommend this pattern

My new evening dress Simplicity pattern 2927, need to find somewhere to go now.  This is the third time I've used this pattern, if you scroll all the way down you'll find the first dress I made form this pattern, and the best part was it cost £3.00 and a day to make:)

New Look 6567 really easy to make, I was a bit nervous about the colours at first but with the right boots, it cheered it up, don't you think.
No neck jewellery with this top and skirt it would be too much.  Really easy to make though, one of my all time fave patterns Style 2831

This is the skirt and top from Style pattern 2831, though I don't think you can still buy Style Patterns.

This is Simplicity Threads pattern 2703 the same as the black top below this is just the dress option.

McCall's pattern M6324.  This dress was really easy to make.  I like the zip in the front and I can wear it to work with sensible shoes and a jacket and out afterwards with a higher heel.

The black top is Simplicity Threads pattern 2703. The darts make it very slimming.

This is the same top as above, it was my first attempt at sewing in 3 years since I moved to London.  Then I got more adventurous;-)
This skirt was supposed to be on a waistband....needless to say it didn't work out and I remembered when I was younger my mom made us skirts on wide elastic.  I'd recently bought one in Matalan for £15.00.  So I cut off the waistband put it on elastic My wise friend Liese told me to use a zigzag or overlock stitch and it stops the straight stitch tearing, very clever lady she is.  So for £5.00 I have the above and I love it.  I wore this with shoe boots the other day...wow.
This dress was a bit complicated to make but I got there in the end its Cynthia Rowley by Simplicity pattern K2281. I'm loving the black and polka dots, check out my what to wear page.
...
The black skirt Simplicity Pattern 2257.   A tiny bit fiddly but by the 2nd one I’d aced it. You can't see it on the picture above but there are actually belt loops which I love on the waist band, this keeps the belt in place.  You can see the loops and the front little pleat on the cream one here.
I wear the cream skirt with cream or black heels it looks fab with a black top or white.  See my what to wear page.

This is a Simplicity 2927 Project Runaway pattern and at first I thought oh no this is going to be tricky but it was surprisingly easy.  Defiantly worth a try.  A bit of irrelevant info though the button the front is 100 years old I found it at my Nan's.  Just love going through the old things.
